November is for Fencing

November 2025: Quick willow farm improvement update. We have posts in! This year we are expanding one of the beds and it involves a LOT of deer fencing. In the past we have successfully used solar powered electric fencing to keep the deer and elk away from the willow. However, with this bed getting expanded we decided it was time for an upgrade. Putting in ~80 T-posts was quite the project, but a little farm ingenuity and a lovely loaned tractor ment we were able to get it done more quickly and easily than anticipated. The upcoming rain is preventing us from the fencing going up, but at least a significant amount of the work can be marked off the list. Next up: fencing and landscape fabric.
